Its main objective is to advance theoretical and empirical research in accounting and auditing, with a focus on both national and international contexts. Research projects cover areas such as Financial Accounting and Auditing, Management Accounting, and Accounting for Sustainability, as well as topics related to Law, including Tax and Labor Law. Some initiatives delve into the profession of Certified Public Accountants, while others examine aspects of teaching in this discipline.

Institute of Economics and Finance
It is the oldest institute in the School, established in 1935 by the University of Córdoba’s Higher Council. Members of the institute conduct research in key areas of applied economics, including international trade, macroeconomics, microeconomics, labor markets, political economy, poverty and inequality, knowledge economy, and innovation economics. Recently, some researchers have begun exploring additional areas within this field, such as health economics and the economics of well-being.

Ph.D. Hebe Goldenhersch Institute of Statistics and Demography
Research focuses on three methodological fields: Statistics, Quantitative Methods, and Demography. In Statistics, emphasis is placed on Advanced Statistical Models, Mixed Models (Multilevel and Longitudinal), and Structural Equation Modeling. In Quantitative Methods, the development of Operational Research Models, discrete multi-criteria decision analysis, and efficiency evaluation models is prioritized. In Demography, studies address socio-economic territorial inequalities and trends in the country’s population dynamics.

Center for Research in Economic Sciences (CICE)
The CICE is affiliated with the Center for Research and Studies on Culture and Society (CIECS) of the Argentine National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET) and operates within the School of Economic Sciences (FCE) at the National University of Córdoba (UNC). It promotes the integration of researchers and scholars specializing in disciplines developed within the FCE, as well as in other knowledge areas connected to economic and organizational sciences, such as geography, sociology, psychology, and agricultural sciences.
